UMK announces its seven international juries

Finland’s Eurovision national final Uuden musiikin kilpailu is just days away. Just as last year, during the final this Saturday, international juries will have a 25% say in the final results of UMK 2023.

The seven juries will come from:

  • ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ Australia
  • ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ช Germany
  • ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ฑ Poland
  • ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ธ Spain
  • ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ช Sweden
  • ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆย Ukraine
  • ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง United Kingdom

Germany and Spain are the only returning countries from UMK22. So far, just one of the spokespersons have been revealed, and that is Timur Miroshnychenko for Ukraine. He’s been commentating the show for his home country for many years now, and co-hosted the 2017 Contest when it was in Kiev.

After all seven songs have been performed, Finns will be able to vote by calling in, sending an SMS, or by creating an account with Yle and voting using their app. This will make up the other 75% of the final score.

Also, UMK can proudly boast that it is even more diverse this year, as โ€‹โ€‹in addition to Finnish, broadcaster Yle will offer live commentary in Swedish, English, Russian, Ukrainian, Northern and Inari Sami, and sign language on its website!
