International juries in the final of Melodifestivalen 2023 announced

After a six week marathon Melodifestivalen 2023 is coming to its end with final scheduled to take place this Saturday, 11th of March from Friends Arena near Stockholm. A total of twelve acts will compete for the chance to become the next Swedish representative at the Eurovision Song Contest. Today, the international jury was revealed.

Latvia will make their jury debut at Melodifestivalen, while Croatia returns after a 10-year absence. The most common countries as the international jury out of this years panelists are Australia and Malta. They will be part of it for the sixth time. The total score of international jury votes will comprise 50% of the score while the other 50% will come from the audience. This year’s jurors come from (and their previous participations):

  • Australia (2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2022)
  • Austria (2015, 2019, 2020)
  • Belgium (2012, 2015)
  • Croatia (2011, 2013)
  • Germany (2011, 2012, 2013, 2014)
  • Latvia
  • Malta (2011, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2020)
  • Spain (2013, 2014, 2022)

As mentioned the viewers will be voting for their favourite, via phone or through the Melodifestivalen app or the Mello United app in two voting rounds. Viewers have 5 votes per entry in each round. All of the users need to register their age group and there are seven of them.

  • 3-9 years old, Green group
  • 10-15 years old, Turquoise group
  • 16-29 years old, Blue group
  • 30-44 years old, Purple group
  • 45-59 years old, Pink group
  • 60-74 years old, Red group
  • 75 years old and above, Orange group

The running order in the final is as follows:

  3. Mariette – One Day
  4. Marcus & Martinus – Air
  5. Panetoz – On My Way
  6. Maria Sur – Never Give Up
  7. Smash Into Pieces – Six Feet Under
  8. Kiana – Where did You Go
  9. Nordman – Släpp alla sorger
  10. Loreen – Tattoo
  11. Theoz – Mer av dig
  12. Paul Rey – Royals
