Slovenia’s Eurovision 2023 hopefuls Joker Out have started preparing for Liverpool, and they are taking us along for the ride! The band’s Carpe Diem Series has just launched on YouTube, with episode 1 now available!

The series will see a new episode dropped on YouTube every Monday in the lead up to the 67th Eurovision Song Contest. We’re to expect a peak behind the curtain into their lives as they prepare for their Eurovision performance.

The first ‘chapter’ starts in Hamburg, Germany, where Carpe Diem was recorded. While the episodes are almost entirely in Slovene, English subtitles are available in YouTube’s closed captioning.

Joker Out are aiming to become the 16th Slovenian act to make it to a Eurovision Grand Final with their song Carpe Diem. Slovenia has had a rough go however since the Semis were introduced, only qualifying on 6 out of 18 occasions. They will get their chance to improve Slovenia’s qualification record when they perform during the second half of the Second Semi Final on 11th May!
