The last national final of the season took place tonight with the grand finale of Festival Da Canção, live from Lisbon, one of the most diverse line-up in a national selection this year for sure. After a very close voting from regional juries, the pubic had the final word.

The winner was no other than Mimicat (aka Marisa Mena) with her self-penned entry “Ai Coração” (Ho Heart). The singer and composer from Coimbra had already taken part to Festival Da Canção back in 2001 (as Izamena), but her actual career started 2014. She has already released 2 studio albums. Her song for Liverpool is definitely something else, with a strong cabaret vibe and staging, and it will undoubtedly stand out.
