This is ESCBubble’s winner of Iceland’s Söngvakeppnin 2023!
After two semi finals held over the last two weeks, Iceland’s Söngvakeppnin reached its Grand Final which Ptakes place tonight. A total of five acts qualified for tonight’s final – the two most voted in each semi final, and a wildcard selected by a jury. These five acts will battle it out tonight, across two voting rounds, which one will represent Iceland in Eurovision 2023 in Liverpool.
From the moment all five finalists were known, we asked you to let us know which of these five is YOUR personal favorite. At the moment of writing this article, the current standings are as follows:
- Dilja – Power – 39%
- Bragi – Sometimes The World’s Against You – 22%
- Sigga Ozk – Dancing Lonely – 21%
- Langi Seli og Skuggarnir – OK – 11%
- Celebs – Doomsday Dancing – 7%
Our team members also listened to the five finalists, and voted. This is how our team members ranked the five entries overall:
- Sigga Ozk – Dancing Lonely
- Langi Seli og Skuggarnir – OK
- Dilja – Power
- Celebs – Doomsday Dancing
- Bragi – Sometimes The World’s Against You
As you can see, our readers and our team members have a very different view of what should happen tonight. Whilst our readers runaway winner of Dilja, our team members have only placed her third, and whilst Sigga Ozk scored 21% of the votes which was enough for third place in our poll, our team members think that she should be tonight’s winner. When we put all of the points together, this is ESCBubble’s final ranking:
- Dilja – Power
- Sigga Ozk – Dancing Lonely
- Langi Seli og Skuggarnir – OK
- Bragi – Sometimes The World’s Against You
- Celebs – Doomsday Dancing
Dilja is thus ESCBubble’s winner of Söngvakeppnin 2023 with her song “Power”.
You still have time to cast your vote for YOUR favorite act, as our poll is going to close at the end of tonight’s show:
