UK newspaper reveals UK act

UK Newspaper The Sun has revealed this year’s UK act-Mae Muller.

The news was revealed just a short while ago.

Mae, whose real name is Holly Mae Muller, has already enjoyed chart success both here and in America and has worked with a number of well known acts, including Little Mix, Aitch and Sigala.

Her 2021 single Better Days, which featured NEIKED and Polo G, peaked at No. 32 in the UK charts and No 23, which you can see below:

Mae also released a hint of her new song which you can hear below:

Mae will take to the stage in Liverpool with the song ‘I wrote a song’, described by The Sun as a “female empowerment pop banger”.

Who is Mae Muller?

In 2019 Mae supported the X Factor winning group on the UK leg of their LM5 The Tour. Since then she’s worked with BRIT Award winning rapper Aitch, and international masked DJ, Marshmello.

Her big break came in 2007 when she was just nine-years-old and landed a leading role in the music video for Mika’s No1 single Grace Kelly. You can see the video for this below:

Following in the footsteps of Sam Ryder who topped the UK charts in December last year with his debut album ‘There’s Nothing But Space Man’, Mae has already recorded her debut album.

“This year I have a lot of music. An album is happening. I know when but I am not going to say… The cover art is already done and it’s exactly what I had in my head. It is such a satisfying thing. A tour is happening as well as the year rolls on.”

As well as singing, Mae will also make her acting debut in the action thriller Gassed Up which will be released later this year on the streaming platform Amazon Prime. Mae will play Kelly, the love interest of the male lead.

Mae said of the role:

“She is a confident mouthy force of a London girl.  There was meant to be a sex scene and I got all prepped up for it. We had an intimacy coordinator but then we didn’t do it.”

The BBC’s Eurovision account on Instagram have also released a video of some UK Presenters reacting to the song, which you can see below:
