North Macedonia is getting ready for JESC2023

MRT, the North Macedonian broadcaster, is launching today its selection process for JESC2023, hence confirming its participation to the Junior contest to be held in Nice (France) next November.

 

The broadcaster is making an open call for performers, for an audition that will take place on May 11th in MRT Studios in Skopje.

Candidates, who must be 9 to 14 years of age, will have to performs two songs on an instrumental playback. It is not known yet when the name of the next North Macedonian junior representative will be anounced, nor how the song will be selected.

North Macedonia is the 10th country, so far, to confirm its participation to JESC2023, joining Armenia, France, Germany, Georgia, Ireland, Malta, the Netherlands, Spain and the UK. Other countries have already declined the invitation such as Bulgaria, Denmark, Norway or Wales.

The 21st edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest will take place on the French Riviera, in Palais Nikaia of Nice, on November 26th.

 

Let’s remember the 2022 North Macedonian entry, “Životot e Pred Mene” by Lara, Jovan & Irina, who ended up 14th with 42 points.
