Victoria is back with a brand new single Lover’s Trial

Bulgarian Eurovision star Victoria is back with a brand new single and music video for “Lover’s Trial,” released under Warner Music Poland. The song and video tackle the common experience of heartbreak and the endless cycle of pain that often accompanies it.

VICTORIA shared that the inspiration for “Lover’s Trial” comes from her recent break-up. However, the song is relatable to many as it tells a common story of the pain that comes when a relationship with someone we love goes in the wrong direction. Victoria hopes the song can help free herself and others from these feelings and allow them to move forward.

The music video for “Lover’s Trial” was filmed around the streets of night Sofia and features three of Victoria’s friends. Directed by Victoria Karakoleva from Mooncut Film Studio, with Damian Dimitrov as Director of photography, the video provides a moody visual complement to the song’s lyrics. The Tears Getting Sober singer co-wrote “Lover’s Trial” with American songwriter Sophie Hintze and Swedish songwriters and music producers Helena Larsson and Oliver Björkvall, who worked with her on her 2021 Eurovision entry “Growing Up is Getting Old.”

As an artist, Victoria is no stranger to the international music scene. She represented Bulgaria at Eurovision in both 2020 and 2021, performing on international stages in Spain and the UK. Fans of Victoria’s previous work, and Eurovision enthusiasts alike, will surely appreciate her latest single. With “Lover’s Trial,” VICTORIA once again demonstrates her talent as a singer-songwriter and her ability to create relatable music that speaks to the heart.

Victoria represented Bulgaria at the Eurovision twice – she was internally selected both in 2020 with Tears Getting Sober, as well as in 2021, when she got a chance to stand on the Eurovision stage, with Growing Up is Getting Old. Take a look at the Victoria’s Eurovision back catalogue below:
