Israel’s broadcast of Eurovision 2023 may be moved last-minute to a different channel!

The first semi final of the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest is only hours away. Everything is set up in the Liverpool Arena in the United Kingdom, and the 15 acts will compete in tonight’s show for the 10 places that lead to the Grand Final. All participating countries need to broadcast the show live, but due to the recent situation in Israel, their national broadcaster may move the broadcast last-minute away from their main channel.

In case of attacks during the live broadcast of any of the three Eurovision shows, the broadcast will automatically be moved from the main channel of “KAN 11” to “KAN Khinukhit”. “KAN 11” will start broadcasting the news, and even though “KAN Khinukhit” is a more children-programme oriented channel, they will take over the broadcast of Eurovision 2023. KAN also confirmed that the live broadcast of Eurovision on KAN Digital will remain as planned, regardless of the situation.

Noa Kirel has been internally selected to represent Israel with the song “Unicorn”. She is set to perform in tonight’s Semi Final. Give a listen to her entry right here:
