Monika Liu is the Lithuanian spokesperson in Eurovision 2023

Monika Liu will announce the votes of the Lithuanian jury at the Grand Final of Eurovision 2023. Liu represented her country in Eurovision 2022 with her song ”Sentimentai”. She finished 14th in the Grand Final in Turin last year.

Monika Liu is a Lithuanian singer-songwriter, who was born in 1988 in Klaipeda, Lithuania. Her first touch with music was at the age of 5, when she started playing the violin. She started singing ten years later, and won a competition called Dainu dainele (Song of Songs) in 2004. Liu studied jazz music at the University of Klaipeda, and later continued her studies in Boston at the Berklee College of Music. Later Liu also lived in London and made music there before returning to her home country. Currently Liu lives in Vilnius.

Liu has been a judge of The Voice Lithuania since 2020. She was also a jury member of the Masked Singer Lithuania during its 2021 season.

Monika Liu’s Eurovision song ”Sentimentai” was Lithuania’s first Eurovision entry since 1994 sang completely in Lithuanian language. The single reached number one in Lithuania. You can rewatch Liu’s Eurovision performance here:
