Ryan Hili to be the Maltese Eurovision spokesperson!
The Maltese national radio station 89.7 Bay has just announced that the Maltese spokesperson in this year’s edition of the Eurovision Song Contest is going to be Ryan Hili!
Ryan Hili shot to fame in Malta when he won the third edition of X Factor – which was also the first edition where Malta was not choosing their Eurovision entry through the show. Nevertheless, Ryan entered the Malta Eurovision Song Contest this year, and even though he was one of the highly tipped artists to win, he finished in second place behind The Busker, with his song “In The Silence”.
On Saturday night, Ryan will have the task to announce who the Maltese national jury has given their 12 points to, and he thus joins the long list of former Eurovision entrants, as well as national final entrants who didn’t get to go to Eurovision, announcing the votes from their own country.
The Busker won this year’s Malta Eurovision Song Contest with “Dance (Our Own Party)”, and unfortunately failed to qualify for the Grand Final in last night’s semi. You can check out their performance from Semi Final 1 right here:
