Júlia Machado will represent Portugal in Nice!

This year’s edition of The Voice Kids Portugal ended yesterday, where the Portuguese public was not only selecting the winner of this talent show, but at the same time they were choosing their entrant for this year’s edition of Junior Eurovision. Five acts competed, and at the end Júlia Machado was announced as the winner, and she will go on to represent Portugal in Nice.

Júlia is a 13 year old Portuguese-American singer. Initially she joined Aurea’s team in The Voice Kids, but was later picked up by mentor Fernando Daniel who now achieved his third consecutive victory on this show.

The song Júlia is going to be performing in this year’s Junior Eurovision is yet to be published, and her mentor in the show – Fernando Daniel could easily be involved in the creation of it, as he co-wrote the Portuguese Junior Eurovision entry the last time his act won this show as well (Simão Oliveira). Whilst we are awaiting the song, give a listen to Júlia’s performance of “Hello” at the Final of The Voice Kids Portugal:
