San Marino’s highest placing artist at Eurovision is back! Last summer Serhat released a summery revamp of Chocolate Flavour, and today he’s released a new single for summer 2023!
M.Y.K.O.N.O.S is Serhat’s first English single in 4 years, since he entered Eurovision 2019 with Say Na Na Na. He’s hoping to conquer the world with his new single’s infectious beats and relatable lyrics. He’s betting that this song has what it takes to become everyone’s singalong guilty pleasure of summer 2023.
The song mixes elements of pop and dance with some Mediterranean vibes, and Serhat hopes it will get everyone on the dance floor, as he wrote the melody himself just for that. He called on lyricist Jens Geerts to write the text.
M.Y.K.O.N.O.S is a celebration and homage to Serhat’s favourite holiday destination:
“On Mykonos I find myself in the most peaceful way thinkable. It’s where my fantasy becomes reality and I can only hope that everyone has a place like that. If not, everyone is welcome to come with me to Mykonos!”
