Blind Channel releases a new single

Former Finnish Eurovision representative Blind Channel has released a new single. You can listen to the song ”Deadzone” here:

Blind Channel is a Finnish band founded in 2013 with six members: Joel Hokka (vocals, guitar), Niko Moilanen (vocals), Joonas Porko (guitar, backing vocals), Olli Matela (bass), Tommi Lalli (drums) and Aleksi Kaunisvesi (samples, percussions). The band represented Finland in Eurovision 2021 with their song ”Dark Side”, finishing 6th in the Grand Final, which at the time was the best Finnish placing in Eurovision since Lordi’s victory in 2006.

During their Eurovision journey Blind Channel made an international recording deal with Century Media Records, and during the last couple of years their career has been on a big rise both in Finland and abroad. In May 2022 the band was awarded with six awards in Emma-gaala, which is Finland’s biggest music awards gala. Blind Channel was the most awarded band/artist of the gala, and they won for example the awards ”The most streamed song of the year” (”Dark Side”), ”Song of the Year” (”Dark Side”) and ”Band of the Year”. During the ongoing summer the band has been very busy travelling around Europe performing in the European music festivals.

Blind Channel decribes their music with the term ”violent pop”. The band has released 4 studio albums so far: ”Revolutions” (2016), ”Blood Brothers” (2018), ”Violent pop” (2020) and ”Livestyles of the Sick & Dangerous” (2022). The band has told that they’ve finished recording their fifth studio album, which is scheduled to release on Spring 2024.

As we can remember, Blind Channel surely took the Eurovision stage in Rotterdam as their own with their amazing and powerful performance. You can rewatch the performance here:
