Georgia announces a trio for Junior Eurovision 2023

Change of plans from the Georgian delegation – GPB has decided to send a trio to Junior Eurovision 2023! Anastasia Vasadze, who was selected as her country’s representative after winning Ranina, will be joined by Nikoloz Kharat and Oto Bazerashvili on stage in Nice. The boys were finalists in last year’s edition of Ranina, which saw Mariam Bigvava raise the trophy.

In the final of Ranina, Anastasia competed against the following finalists: Gabriel Lomsadze, Anastasia Berishvili, Soso Chachua and Tako Tomashvili. The results were decided by a three-person jury panel of Sopho Toroshelidze, Nato Metonidze and Dato Tsintsadze, who rated the acts according to the live voice, acting, artistic performance and collaborative skills.

This year GPB has opted for a change and has selected internally two of the three voices that will wave the country’s flag at Junior Eurovision. After sending solo singers for the last few years, the broadcaster has decided to send a trio probably with the aim of a fourth victory and giving the contest more variety. The song Anastasia, Nikoloz and Oto will perform on November 26 in Nice has been chosen internally and will be unveiled soon according to GPB.
