Estonian broadcaster ERR has confirmed it: submissions are now open for Eesti Laul 2024!

Artists have until the 23rd of October to enter the contest, with the chosen semi-finalists set to be announced by the 8th of November. Songs will then be released no later than December 8th.

The news comes paired with an announcement about the format of this year’s selection process, which takes a slightly different route to last year. Instead of 20 artists competing across 2 semi-final shows for a place in the final, 5 jury favourites will advance automatically, with the remaining 15 competing in a single semi.

The semi-final and final shows will take place on January 20th and February 17th respectively.

Frequently one of the first selections of the year, it’s no surprise that Eesti Laul news is now starting to break. Time to start looking forward to some brilliant Estonian entries!
