Piqued Jacks cancel UK tour dates
Eurovision 2023’s Sammarinese entrants have announced on their social media platforms their both of their concerts next week have been scrapped.
The Piqued Jacks’ shows were both set to take place in the United Kingdom – at Dingwalls in London on Wednesday 10th October, and at FAC251 – Factory in Manchester on Thursday 11th October.
Apologetically, the band cited “production reasons” being to blame for the cancellation of the shows. The statement reads:
Dear UK friends and fans, we are deeply saddened to communicate that it is necessary to postpone our gigs in London (11/10) and Manchester (12/10) due to production reasons. We know the news leaves you very little time to change your plans but we assure you that it came with short notice to us too. In the past 48 hours we did everything in our power to keep the shows as planned but we are left with no other choice – which is a really hard one – than moving them to a later date. We apologise very, very much. We care about every single one of you and we were so ready to party in the UK. We hope that you can make it to the new dates, we promise you two unforgettable nights.
As of time of publication, no new dates have been made official. Fans with tickets can hold on to them and use them for the rescheduled shows.
Fans still wanting to see the Piqued Jacks live in concert will have to wait until December. Their final three shows of 2023 take place on the 3rd in Berlin, the 4th in Hamburg, and the 6th in Warsaw.
In May, the Piqued Jacks extended San Marino’s non-qualification streak to two years in-a-row when they failed to get any points in Semi Final 2 in Liverpool with their song “Like An Animal”.
