Last September, Cypriot broadcaster revealed that the island will be represented by an Australian born Cypriot for the second year in a row. Silia Kapsis will be waving the flag of Cyprus at Eurovision Song Contest 2024. Today her entry “Liar” as well as the official music video got released. The authors of “Liar” are Dimitris Kontopoulos and Elke Tiel.

Vasiliki Silia Kapsis was born in 2006 in Sydney and she is a singer, dancer, and an actress. In her young age, she was the lead singer for the Australian Youth Performing Arts Company (AYPAC). In 2022 she released her first song “Who Am I?” which she wrote at the age of 12. In 2023 Silia released three singles including her most popular song to date “Night Out”. In 2022 she debuted as a lead character in the short film “Pearly Gates“. Silia worked on many projects for Australian Nickelodeon, she was a host of Nick News. Kapsis was also nominated for a Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Award for Aussie/Kiwi Legend of the Year in 2023. In addition to that Silia was selected to be part of ImmaBeast Dance Company in LA and was featured in a dance documentary which was produced by the member of Black Eyed Peas, Taboo.

Silia Kapsis will be performing in the first half of the first semi-final which is set to take place on the 7th of May. You can check out the official music video of “Liar” below
