Luna to represent Poland in Eurovision 2024 with ‘The Tower’

From a total of 212 songs submitted for the Polish internal selection for Eurovision 2024, the 5-member pre-selection jury has selected the Polish entry for Malmö – and it’s “The Tower” by Luna!

The pre-selection jury consisted of Łukasz Pieter (Music Director of Radio ZET), Michał Hanczak (Music Journalist at Radio Eska), Kasia Moś (Singer, represented Poland in Eurovision 2017 in Kyiv), Konrad Szczęsny (Journalist at viva.pl and the President of OGAE Poland), and Piotr Klatt (Music Journalist at Dla Nasze, as well as a Producer of Music programme at TVP). These five jurors listened through all of the submitted songs for this internal selection, and scored each song out of 10. Luna with “The Tower” emerged as the winner as she scored 34 points, but Justyna Steczkowska very close behind in second place with just 1 point behind, with her song “WITCH-ER Tarohoro”.

Luna (Aleksandra Katarzyna Wielgomas) is a 24 years old artist, who studies Liberal Arts at the University of Warsaw. She sings, plays the violin and piano, writes and composes music. Art, philosophy, fashion and astrology are her greatest passions, and in her free time she is also a Yoga instructor. When talking about her song “The Tower”, Luna stated:

“The Tower” is a manifesto of freedom and strength . A way out of darkness. Abandoning ties, blockages, limitations, negative patterns and relationships. Destroying the tower and going out into the world. I hope that this song will inspire us all to fight for ourselves, our own freedom, love and sense of worth. To be fully yourself, without boundaries.
