Switzerland to release their Eurovision entry on 29th of February!

Last night in the latest episode of the TV show “Late Night Switzerland” on SRF 1 it has been revealed that the Swiss entry for Eurovision Song Contest 2024 will be announced on 29th of February

The host of the show, comedian, Stefan Büsser revealed the secret to the audience without giving further details except that the artist which will represent the country will be revealed on the 29th of February.

 

Earlier today the Head of Swiss Delegation, Yves Schifferle, has confirmed on his IG account that alongside the artist reveal on 29th of February Switzerland will reveal everything including the song and the official music video. The release is planned for 11:00 CET at the official Eurovision Song Contest YouTube page. In addition to that Yves added on his IG story that their entry is not a ballad by a male performer, which was the case for their last three entries in the show. Could Switzerland send the female soloist for the first time since 2016? Remains to be seen on 29th of February. The song was chosen among more than 420 submitted entries. Five of those were selected for a live auditions stage which were held in Zurich last December. Three juries were in charge of decision. The Swiss and international audience jury as well as the 25 international expert jury which consisted of former Eurovision judges.

Last year Switzerland ended the contest on 20th place with “Watergun” by Remo Forrer. You can check out his performance below:
