Javier Pageo to stage San Marino’s entry for Malmö

Megara confirmed on X that they have already prepared the first draft of the staging that we will see in Malmö, and that Javier Pageo will be in charge of it.

Javier Pageo has been involved with Spain’s broadcaster RTVE in the past, having done the staging for artists including Karmento and Rayden at Benidorm Fest 2022. He has also worked with Tanxugueiras, Melendi, Ana Mena and Ruth Lorenzo in the past as well.

Megara’s vocalist Kenzy revelaed that,

“We have tried to use some stage design that we used in the final of San Marino because ultimately our songs are linked to a concept.”

Meanwhile it is looking like Megara will sing part of 11:11 in Italian, as they did during the final of Una Voce Per San Marino 2024. In other social media posts, the band has confessed that they are trying not to put too much pressure on themselves to get to the Grand Final, as “the semifinal that we have been assigned is a slaughter.”

We will get to hear Megara live again later this month as they are confirmed as one of 18 acts for the PrePartyES in Madrid.

Megara won the final of Una Voce Per San Marino 2024, beating the great Italian star Loredana Bertè, thus becoming the representatives for San Marino. Megara will perform in Semi Final 2, and try and get San Marino back to the Grand Final for the first time since 2021.
