It has been announced that this years edition of the show will feature two major changes about which we informed you HERE.

In addition to that traditionally the order of performance of the hosting country has been drawn. Sweden was randomly selected to open the Grand final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2024. Executive producer of the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool, Andrew Cartmell was the one who randomly chose that slot for Sweden. The full running order of both semi-finals will be revealed later. First and Second Semi-Finals will be determined at a later date. You can check the semi-final allocation draw HERE.

Last Saturday the final of Swedish national selection for Eurovision, Melodifestivalen 2024 took place and Marcus & Martinus won the show with the song “Unforgettable”. This will be the third time in a row that the winning country of the contest is sending a male duo to represent them the following year (Mahmood & BLANCO represented Italy with “Brividi” in Turin 2022 and TVORCHI represented Ukraine with “The Heart of Steel” in Liverpool last year) both of those acts ended on sixth place, could the same happen to Marcus & Martinus remains to be seen in the Grand Final which is set to take place on 11th of May.
