Slimane interrupts his own performance at the rehearsal to give a speech instead

…the drama continues. After the disqualification of the Netherlands earlier today, and after Bambie Thug missed her rehearsal and requested the exclusion of Israel from the Contest, Slimane from France has now cut his performance short during the rehearsal, to give a speech.

In the middle of the song, Slimane stopped singing, and gave the following speech instead:

When I was a child, I dreamed of music. I dreamed about this dream – to be a singer, to sing about peace. We must be United by Music, yes, but with love and peace. Everyone wants to sing their song but they want to be united by love and peace.

Slimane is representing France, and he will be performing second-to-last in tonight’s Final, after Georgia, and before Austria.
