Switzerland wins Eurovision 2024
Nemo has just won the 68th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “The Code”.
At tonight’s final, which was hosted by Petra Mede and Malin Åkerman, a list of 25 acts competed for the crystal microphone, following the disqualification of The Netherlands. Nineteen of them won the final spot in the semi-finals thanks to the vote of the audience, who decided the full outcome of both shows. The producers of the Eurovision 2024 decided the running order after the second semi-final based on the results of the draws and their show criteria:

The winner of the Grand Final was selected by a combination of votes from the televote and the professional jury panel of all 37 participating countries of this year’s edition. Additionally, the audience from the non-participating countries could have a say online via the ‘Rest of the World’ voting, which had the weight of an additional country.

Björn Skifs performing “Hooked on a Feeling” was the opening act adding the music to the traditional flag parade. The interval act featured the performance of the Swedish trio Alcazar with their song “Crying at the Discoteque” and Eurovision winners Carola (Sweden 1991), Charlotte Perrelli (Sweden 1998 and 2008) and Conchita Wurst (Austria 2014) singing a tribute to ABBA‘s Waterloo, the winning entry of Eurovision 1974. Last but not least, the double Eurovision winner Loreen performed her new song “Forever” and her last year’s winning song “Tatoo”.
