YLE will open the call for songs for UMK25 in August

The 2024 Eurovision Song Contest ended over the weekend. Switzerland won the Contest with Nemo and their song “The Code”, and will thus host next year’s Contest. The Finnish national broadcaster YLE have already announced that they are starting to work on their national selection – Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu (UMK), and that they will be accepting songs in August.

YLE will open the submission period for UMK25 on the 19th of August, and all interested artists will have less than a week to submit their songs, as the application window is going to close on the 25th of August. The pre-selection jury will then listen through all of the submitted entries, and select the best ones that will proceed to the televised Final, which will take place early next year.

Windows95Man represented Finland in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest with the song “No Rules!”, and finished in 19th place with a total of 38 points. Check out their performance from the Final in Malmö once again right here:
