Blind Channel is a Finnish band founded in 2013. The members of the band are Niko Moilanen (vocals), Joel Hokka (vocals, guitar), Joonas Porko (guitar, backing vocals), Olli Matela (bass), Tommi Lalli (drumms), Aleksi Kaunisvesi (samples, percussion, DJ). The band has called their music style ”violent pop”.

Blind Channel won the Finnish national selection for Eurovision, Uuden musiikin kilpailu (UMK), in 2021 with quite a big margin and carried the Finnish flag in Rotterdam later that same year. Blind Channel and their song ”Dark Side” finished 6th in the Grand Final of Eurovision 2021 with 301 points, which is the third highest placing for Finland in Eurovision history.

Eurovision also gave Blind Channel’s career a big boost. During Eurovision 2021 the band signed an international recording deal and during the last years they’ve made several international tours. Blind Channel has so far released five studio albums, the latest one, ”Exit Emotions”, was released earlier this year.

Before the break Blind Channel can be seen live in UK during their two week tour between October 15th and October 26th and in Finland during their club tour in November and December. The Finnish broadcaster YLE has also made a documentary about Blind Channel’s time after Eurovision 2021. The documentary is called ”After Dark Side” and it will come out in December.
