Nearly 1,000 songs submitted for Benidorm Fest 2025

This Thursday, 10th October, RTVE closed the submission window for Benidorm Fest 2025.

According to the Spanish broadcaster, nearly 1,000 songs were submitted in total, with around 300 recieved in the final 24 hours. This figure represents a new record for the festival, marking an increase of almost 200 songs compared to the 2024 edition.

RTVE sees this as proof of the growing interest generated by the event, which they regard as the largest promotional platform for new Spanish music.

From these submissions, a committee of experts will now select 16 finalists to compete in this year’s Benidorm Fest. The exact date for announcing these finalists hasn’t been confirmed yet, but we’re keeping a close watch for any updates.

Benidorm Fest 2025 is set to kick off on January 28th, with the grand final scheduled for February 1st.
