Running Order for Junior Eurovision 2024 Revealed

The running order for the 22nd Junior Eurovision Song Contest to be held in Madrid on the 16th of November, has been revealed.

Previously, at the Heads of Delegations meeting in Madrid, a draw was held to determine in which place the host country Spain would perform, as well as who would open and close the show. The producers have decided the running order for the rest of the countries.

1. Italy
2. Estonia
3. Albania
4. Armenia
5. Cyprus
6. France
7. North Macedonia
8. Poland
9. Georgia
10. Spain
11. Germany
12. Netherlands
13. San Marino
14. Ukraine
15. Portugal
16. Ireland
17. Malta

This is the first time since 2013 that the running order has been decided before the opening ceremony and before all the songs have been published. Some fans might conspire that the songs of Armenia and Georgia have already been submitted and therefore the producers already know where they belong in the running order. However, Ireland has not even selected their artist yet, and therefore not even the song.

This year’s edition will take place at the Caja Mágica in Madrid and will be hosted by Ruth Lorenzo, Marc Clotet and Melani García. For the first time since 2016, the event will return back to it’s original Saturday evening broadcast, but at an earlier timeslot than the prime time schedule before 2016. Voting will take place as usual with 50% of votes coming from national juries and the other 50% from online voting.

Although last year’s edition was won by France, the French broadcaster declined to host for the third time in four years. Therefore, hosting duties went to Spain who finished second with Sandra Valero and the song ‘Loviu.’
