The sixteen participants of the next Benidorm Fest will be revealed on Tuesday 12th of November at RTVE’S Prada Del Rey studios in Madrid. The press conference is expected to take place at 11:00 CET.

Applications opened on May 20 and closed on October 10 where one thousand songs were submitted up from last year’s 825 submissions. RTVE’s Director of Corporate Affairs and Participation Maria Eizaguirre has provided some insights regarding what songs we should expect in the line up as well as what artists. Urban, folk and rap songs were among the most-received genres but pop remains the dominant genre. With regards to artists, many of the applicants are Spanish nationals or Spanish residents while more songs are sung by female artists than males.

For the first time ever, RTVE has received a song created by artificial intelligence.

Last year, Nebulossa won the third edition of Benidorm Fest with ‘Zorra.’ They represented Spain at the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest and finished 22nd in the final.
