First eight finalists of Eesti Laul 2025 have been revealed!
In the daily entertainment program of Estonian Television, Ringvaade first eight acts competing for a chance to represent Estonia at Eurovision 2025 have been revealed.
Estonian representative at Eurovision 2016, Jüri Pootsmann, announced the following eight finalists:
- Kaisa Lang feat. Räpina Jack – “Tule”
- Tuuli Rand – “Rem”
- ANT – “Tomorrow Never Changes”
- FELIN – “Solo Anthem”
- Anna Sahlene – “Love Me Low”
- Stereo Terror – “Prty Till the End of the World”
- An-Marlen – “Külm”
- Elysa – “The Last to Know”
The first half of the announced artists include some well known names Anna Sahlene represented Estonia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2002 with “Runaway” and she was the backing vocal for Sweden 1999, Malta 2000, Australia 2016 and UK 2019. Tuuli Rand competed at Eesti Laul 2021 with “Üks öö” and she ended the show in the semi-final. An-Marlen also didn’t make it through to the final of the show but a year later with “Lõpuks muutub”. Elysa placed as 3rd in the superfinal of Eesti Laul 2022 with “Fire” while at Eesti Laul 2023 she barely missed to qualify for the final of the show.
Seven more finalists will be announced tomorrow in the new episode of Ringvaade and the one to reveal the acts will be the Estonian representative at Eurovision 2014, Tanja Mihhailova-Saar. The last 16th finalist will be selected through a public vote and revealed in early January.
Upcoming edition of Eesti Laul will only feature one grand final show which is scheduled to take place on 15th of February. It will be the first time since 2010 that ERR has opted to organise a show in this format instead of national selection which features multiple stages of the contest. The voting in the final will take place over two rounds. After the first round top three entries chosen by the combined votes of a seven member international jury as well as the votes of the public will advance to the superfinal. The votes in the superfinal will be casted solely by the public
At previous edition of Eurovision Estonia was represented by 5Miinust & Puuluup whose performance of “(Nendest) narkootikumidest ei tea me (küll) midagi” got a total of 37 points in the grand final of the show which was enough for the 20th place.
