Meet the 20 contestants of Latvia’s Supernova 2025

LTV, Latvia’s national broadcaster revealed earlier this morning the names and the songtitles of the 20 acts competing in their national selection for Eurovision in Basel – Supernova 2025. Two former Eurovision participants are back again, as well as a couple of Supernova veterans.

Citi Zēni who represented Latvia in 2022 with “Eat Your Salad”, as well as Justs who represented his country in 2016 with “Heartbeat” are back in the Contest once again, and will try to win their second ticket to Eurovision. Apart from them, one of the favorites in this year’s Supernova – Katrīna Gupalo is back again, as well as the true veteran of Latvia’s national finals – Markus Riva. The full participant list is as follows:

  • Citi Zēni – Ramtai
  • Emilija – Heartbeat
  • Grēta – Monster
  • Julianna – Something in the Water
  • Justs – Fit Right
  • Katrīna Gupalo – Scarlett Challenger
  • Kobra – Zelts
  • Bel Tempo x Legzdina – The Water
  • Luka – Stronger
  • Markus Riva – Bigger Than This
  • Marta – Lovable
  • Palú – Delusional
  • Rūta Dūduma – Chemical
  • Sinerģia – Bound by the Light
  • Tautumeitas – Bur Man Laimi
  • Tepat – Sadzejot
  • The Ludvig – Līgo
  • Toms Kalderauskis – Domāju, Tu Nāc

Supernova 2025 will take place in two phases – a Semi Final will be held on the 1st of February, where the top 10 will be selected to proceed to the Grand Final, which will be held a week later, on the 8th of February. The winner, and Latvia’s entry for Basel will be selected by a mix of jury votes and televoting.

Dons represented Latvia earlier this year in Malmö, and brought his country back into the Grand Final after 6 non-qualifications. His entry “Hollow” finished in 16th place in the Grand Final.
