Participants of LSC 2025 have been announced!
Last week RTL held the auditions in order to select the artists which will be competing at the second edition of Luxembourg Song Contest. The international jury which consisted out of co-executive producer of ESC 2018, Diogo Fernandes, then two time participant (2011 and 2016) and JESC 2015 host Poli Genova, as well as three Eurovision winners: Niamh Kavanagh (1993), Marie Myriam (1977) and Eldar Gasimov (2011) has selected seven artists which will be competing for a chance to represent Luxembourg at Eurovision 2025
Out of 77 auditioned songs the following seven artists made it to the finals of the show:
- Laura Thorn
- Luzac
- MÄNA
- One Last Time
- Rafa Ela
- Rhythmic Soundwave
- ZERO POINT FIVE
Laura Thorn is a teacher at the Esch/Alzette Conservatory of Music. She has a master’s degree in music theory, music pedagogy and pop singing.
Luzac is an educator who has been writing and composing music for other artists. Since the release of his debut single “J’y arriverai” back in 2021 he started focusing on his solo career.
MÄNA is a student at the Regional School of Music in Dudelange, she plays violin and flute. Last year she has released her debut single “Stay”
One Last Time is a band which competed at the inaugural edition of the show where their “Devil in the detail” ended on 6th place, members of the band are: Andrea Galleti, Jonathan Fersino, Tom Sagramola, Alessandro Sorbello, and Barbara Salvi. They are set to release a debut album in 2025, following the completion of their first self-composed tracks.
Rafa Ela is a second retourning artist from the last edition of LSC as part of the duo with Angy singing “Drop“, ending the contest on 5th place. Before that Rafa Ela has taken part in Luxembourg’s Next Popstar (2016) as well as Top Voice Luxembourg (2018).
Rhythmic Soulwave is a group of six musicians with different cultural background who were connected by the Luxembourg Conservatory: Mael Fontana, Leopold Strauβ, Angela Aguilera Caballero, Diego Lucero, Zakar Lörinc, Carmen Carbonnell Suarez.
ZERO POINT FIVE are considered as one of the most popular live acts of Luxembourg. It was formed back in 2009 and the members are :Federico (Kiko) Menichetti, Gilles Saracini, and Christophe Reitz.
The songs will be revealed at a later date. Until 1st of December RTL has opened the submissions for the design of the trophy of LSC 2025. Like previous edition, the show will be taking place at the Rockhal in Esch-sur-Alzette, with the final set to take place on 25th of January 2025.
Tali won the inaugural show with the song “Fighter” and she went to defend the Luxembourgish flag at Eurovision 2025 she scored a total of 103 points which was enough for the 13th place in the grand final of the show. You can watch her performance below
