It will be the first time since 2010 that ERR has opted to organise a show in this format instead of national selection which features multiple stages of the contest. The voting in the final will take place over two rounds. After the first round top three entries chosen by the combined votes of a seven member international jury as well as the votes of the public will advance to the superfinal. The votes in the superfinal will be casted solely by the public

At previous edition of Eurovision Estonia was represented by 5Miinust & Puuluup whose performance of “(Nendest) narkootikumidest ei tea me (küll) midagi” got a total of 37 points in the grand final of the show which was enough for the 20th place.
