Buč Kesidi disqualified from Serbia’s Pesma za Evroviziju 2025
Moments ago, Serbia’s national broadcaster RTS confirmed that they have disqualified one of the acts selected to compete in Pesma za Evroviziju 2025 – Buč Kesidi with their song “Tužne ljubavi”. Instead, the first back-up entry now gets an opportunity to participate, and it’s another band – Maršali, with their song “Po policama sećanja”.
Meetings are currently taking place with the RTS team and the selected acts, in order to arrange the best possible performance for each of the acts. During these meetings, RTS became aware of the fact that Buč Kesidi performed the song “Tužne ljubavi” at the SeaStar festival in Umag earlier this May. The rules of the competition state that no song can be released, or performed live before the 1st of September 2024, and “Tužne ljubavi” has thus been disqualified.
This now gave a chance to the song that finished as the first back-up entry, to compete in Pesma za Evroviziju 2025 – it’s the band Maršali with their song “Po policama sećanja”. The replacement entry was written by Strahinja Tanasijin.
