Contestants of Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2025 to be revealed on 6th of February

In an interview for Eurosong DK, the Producer of Dansk Melodi Grand Prix, Erik Struve Hansen has announced that the participants of DMGP 2025 will be revealed on 6th of February.

There will be a total of 8 acts and it has also been said by Erik Struve Hansen that the voting which was used in last years edition of Danish national selection for Eurovision Song Contest will once again be used at the upcoming edition, that means that jury will have a huge part in order to decide the winner of the contest. Live orchestra will remain and it will be up to the participants whether they want to use it in their performance or not.

The final of Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2025 is set to take place on 1st of March at the Jyske Bank Boxen in Horsens. It will be the 7th time Horsens is hosting and the 5th time that the contest is being held at Jyske Bank Boxen the first time DMGP took place there was back in 2013 when Emmelie de Forest won it with “Only Teardrops”.

The winner of DMPG 2024 was Saba whose “Sand” did not manage to qualify to the final of Eurovision Song Contest 2024 as the song ended on 12th place in the semi-final scoring 12 points. The last time Denmark was in the final of Eurovision was back in 2019.
