After one year absence from the place where the inaugural edition of Croatian national selection, Dora was organised, the show will be returning to Opatija for its 24th edition. As Novi list reports, this was confirmed at the assembly session of the tourist board of Opatija which was held in Milenij Hotel. The chairman was the mayor Fernando Kirigin, and the content of the agenda was presented by the director of tourist board of Opatija, Suzi Petričić.

The final of the show will take place on 2nd of March. Even though it has been previously confirmed that two semi-final nights will be held beforehand, the dates of those shows haven’t been confirmed. Previous edition of Dora took place in the studio of the Croatian broadcaster, HRT in Zagreb. On 5th of December HRT has revealed the list of 24 acts which will be competing for a chance to represent this Balkan country at Eurovision 2025 in Basel.

The list of the participants of Dora 2025 includes some of the returnees to the show (Runner up of Dora 2022, Marko Bošnjak; finalist of last years show Natali Balmix, Marin Jurić Čivro competed at Dora 2020 and Luka Nižetić who took part at Dora 2005, 2007 and 2019) the list includes famous Croatian bands such as Magazin and NIPPLEPEOPLE as well as some newcomers to the show.

In an interview for Slobodna Dalmacija, new editor of Dora, Maja Tokić spoke about some details for the show and confirmed that the format will remain the same as last year with two semi-finals and one grand final, she stated that the international jury will remain this year as well and that the final decision will be made by jury and televote (50-50). Maja also mentioned that they are working on the way to introduce online voting.

Except winning previous edition of Dora, Baby Lasagna won the televote of Eurovision Song Contest 2024. You can check out the performance below
