Kantera: ‘Our song was inspired by the Maltese Feasts’

Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2025 is taking place next week, and across three shows, Malta will select their entry for Basel. Rehearsals have already started in Ta’ Qali, and just before the rehearsals started, we had a chance to catch up with Claudio Castelletti and George Bonello from the band Kantera, who are competing in MESC for the very first time.

We spoke to Claudio and George about their motivation to enter MESC for the very first time, the meaning behind the song and the title of “Lalaratatakeke Lalaratakabum”, as well as their preparations for the Contest.
