Kurt Anthony: ‘I think it was time for me to submit a song in Malta’

Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2025 is taking place next week, and across three shows, Malta will select their entry for Basel. Rehearsals have already started in Ta’ Qali, and just before the rehearsals started, we had a chance to catch up with Kurt Anthony, who’s going to be competing in MESC for the very first time, and has one of the few songs that were not written in the Maltese Eurovision songwriting camp.

Kurt Anthony is however no stranger to competing in national selections, as he competed previously in the Sammarinese “Una voce per San Marino”, and reached the Final in 2022. We spoke to Kurt about his experience from San Marino, his entry in MESC “Miegħek Biss” and how he decided to submit a song this year. He also gave us hints about his upcoming performance, and a lot more. Check out everything he told us in this interview below:
