Laura Thorn will represent Luxembourg in Eurovision 2025
The second edition of Luxembourg Song Contest has ended moments ago. Seven acts competed in tonight’s show that took place in the soldout Rockhal in Luxembourg. After both the juries and the televoting results were added together, Laura Thorn was announced as the winner.
Once all the songs were performed, and multiple acts performed during the interval act – Conchita Wurst (who ended up co-hosting the show), Marie Myriam, Tali, DJ Nosi, and after we had a surprise proposal in the audience, it was time for the results. Eight international juries presented their votes for the 7 competing songs: 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2 and 0 points, and their overall results were as follows:
94 Laura Thorn
62 Luzac
52 Rhythmic Soulwave
40 One Last Time
36 Mäna
36 Rafa Ela
16 Zero Point Five
Laura Thorn won seven out of eight 12s, whilst the 8th one (from Estonia) went to Luzac instead.
The second 50% of the total score came from the worldwide online vote via esc.vote. These votes were given out proportionally to how many percentages of the total vote each of the acts received, and the total scores matched the total scores the juries have given out. Zero Point Five won the public vote, and scored 110 points from the public, but when we put the results together, the full results were:
184 Laura Thorn
126 Zero Point Five
93 Luzac
81 Rhythmic Soulwave
79 One Last Time
56 Mäna
53 Rafa Ela
Laura Thorn was thus announced as the winner, with the song “Poupée monte le son”. Check out the winning song here:
