Louane will represent France at Eurovision 2025
French broadcaster, France 2 has revealed their representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2025. Louane will be waving the French flag in Basel on 17th of May. French media already speculated about her being the representative last October but when Le Parisien asked Louane about that she denied that.
Earlier tonight it has been clear based on the video which Louane posted on her Instagram account. The video consists out of Louane going through some childhood photos and in voiceover speaking to her mother who passed away in 2014: “You dreamed of seeing me there, mom, without knowing that it could happen one day. I’m sure you’re proud that you’re watching from afar. So you know what, I’m going to do it for us, I’m going to do it for our dreams. I’m going to represent France at Eurovision.”

Anne Edwige Maria Peichertis a 28 years old French singer and actress from Sainte-Catherine and she goes by her stage name Louane Emera or simply Louane. She rose to fame back in 2013 after she competed in the final of The Voice France. In 2014 Louane made her acting debut in the French-Belgian coming of age comedy/drama directed by Éric Lartigau, La Famille Bélier. For the role of Paula Bélier she received the César Award for Most Promising Actress. The song which she sang as part of the soundtrack of the movie “Je Vole” became a huge hit in France. She released six albums so far, first being “Chambre 12” back in 2015 and the last one is Solo which she released last year. You can check her journey in The Voice France below.
The song which Louane will perform at the stage of Eurovision Song Contest in Basel will be revealed at a later date. Last year France has been represented by Slimane whose song “Mon Amour” ended on 4th place in the contest after it scored a total of 445 points.
