Meet the finalists of Melodi Grand Prix 2025
After many different rumors going around the Internet about who could be competing in this year’s edition of Norway’s Melodi Grand Prix, NRK held today a press conference where the nine competing acts of MGP 2025 were presented. Various artists in this year’s line-up already competed in MGP in the past, and two of them even represented Norway in Eurovision.
The full line-up of Melodi Grand Prix 2025 is as follows:
- Bobbysocks – Joyful
- Nora Jabri – Sulale
- LLL – Parasite
- Nataleen – The Game
- Sondrey – Vagabond
- Ladybug – Hot As Hell In Paradise
- Tone Damli – Last Song
- Kyle Alessandro – Lighter
- Wig Wam – Human Fire
As we all know, Bobbysocks (Hanne Krogh and Elisabeth Andreassen) won the 1985 Eurovision Song Contest with “La det swinge”, but have also competed in Eurovision individually as well – Hanne in 1971 with “Lykken er”, whilst Elisabeth competed twice more – first in 1982 representing Sweden as a member of Chipz with “Dag efter dag”, and then representing Norway in 1994 together with Jan Werner Danielsen and the song “Duett”, and once as a soloist in 1996 performing the song “I evighet” and finishing in second place. Since then, Elisabeth tried to return to the Contest a few times as well – in 2002 for Sweden, when she competed together with Kikki Danielsson and Lotta Engberg, and then once again in 2003 when the trio entered Melodi Grand Prix. Her latest attempt at Eurovision was in Norway back in 2015 when she performed the song “All Over The World” together with Tor Endresen.
Another act with Eurovision participation is, of course, Wig Wam. The glamrock band represented Norway in Eurovision 2005 in Kyiv, and their entry “In My Dreams” finished in 9th place. Years later, the lead singer Åge Sten Nilsen formed a new band called Ammunition, and competed in MGP back in 2017 with “Wrecking Crew”, and his last attempt was as a songwriter, as he wrote Jorn’s “Faith Bloody Faith” for MGP 2021.
Nora Jabri, Sondrey, Tone Damli, as well as Kyle Alessandro (as a member of Umami Tsunami) have all competed in Melodi Grand Prix over the years, and are hoping to reach that top spot this time around.

This is a joke right? None of these songs are mgp level much less ESC level. This can’t be the best songs that applied.
