Moments ago, the Icelandic national broadcaster RÚV revealed the names of the 10 acts which will compete in this year’s edition of Söngvakeppnin – the Icelandic national final for Eurovision. The 10 acts have already been divided into two semi finals. Eight of them have released English versions of their entries as well, whilst the other two would keep their song in Icelandic in case they win Söngvakeppnin and represent Iceland in Eurovision.

The 10 acts hoping to win the Icelandic ticket to Basel will compete in the two semi finals, in the following split (you can listen to the songs by clicking on the songtitles):

Semi Final 1:

• Birgo – Ég flýg í storminn / Stormchaser
• Ágúst – Eins og þú / Like You
• Stebbi Jak – Frelsið Mitt / Set Me Free
• Bia – Norðurljós / Northern Lights
• VÆB – RÓA
