Milan Nikolić withdraws from Pesma za Evroviziju 2025

After two disqualifications in this year’s Pesma za Evroviziju and two replacement entries, the line-up of this competition is changing once again. After a full day of protests across Serbia, one of the contestants – Milan NIkolić i banda, have withdrawn from the competition.

MIlan Nikolić i banda were supposed to compete with the song “Storia del amor”, which was written by Eurovision veteran composer Vladimir Graić (the composer of Serbia’s entries in 2007 and 2015, as well as Slovenia in 2012), and Milan Nikolić himself. Milan announced his withdrawal, as well as his resignation from his job at PGP RTS (record label owned by RTS) on his social media:

I am writing to you as a musician and editor of PGP RTS. Unfortunately, due to new circumstances that I will not comment on… I have withdrawn from “Pesma za Evroviziju 2025” and resigned from my position as editor of PGP RTS.

There is no official statement from RTS as of right now, and a replacement entry is expected to be announced shortly.

The songs competing in Pesma za Evroviziju 25 are set to be released on the January 28.
