Natalie Balmix disqualified from Dora 2025

After Lara feat. LSQ withdrew from the upcoming Croatian national final Dora 2025 only two weeks ago and being replaced by Swingers, HRT confirmed that there is another change in the line-up of this Contest. After each of the selected acts had to submit the final version of their songs, HRT has disqualified Natalie Balmix, who was supposed to compete with the song “Život ide dalje”.

After submitting the final version of her song on the 5th of January, HRT’s committee realized that more than 50% of the song has been changed – both in the music, arrangements, as well as in the lyrics of the song. The broadcaster consulted two independent music producers, who also confirmed that this song in its final version represents a brand new piece, which was not selected in the pre-selection. Due to this, HRT has disqualified Natalie Balmix from the competition, and the rules state that the next entry from the back-up list now has the right to compete – and that is Fenksta with the song “Extra”.

The remaining two back-up entries are now as follows:

  1. Patricia Gasparini – Karma
  2. llyricum – Tananai

All songs competing in Dora 2025 will be released on the 9th of January. Whilst we are waiting for the songs, let’s remind ourselves of Natalie’s performance in last year’s Dora, where she competed with “Dijamanti” and finished in 10th place:
