One Morning Left will not be taking part at UMK
The official Instagram account for Finland’s Eurovision national selection UMK has just announced that One Morning Left will no longer compete with their song ‘Puppy.’
The statement explains that ‘Yle has excluded the band from the competition due to a rule violation. Yle and One Morning Left have discussed the matter and agree on the basis of the decision.’
UPDATE: The band have released a statement which has been translated into English:

It is unclear whether the band will be replaced or not. However, it seems unlikely that UMK will find a replacement in time with just 10 days left until the UMK final on Saturday February 8th. To date, One Morning Left were second-favourites to win the ticket to represent Finland in Basel behind Erika Vikman and her song ‘Ich Komme.’
This news continues an unfortunate string of disqualifications and ejections from 2025 national final lineups with the latest breaking news coming this morning from Moldova who have cancelled their selection entirely and decided that they will not compete at Eurovision 2025 at all.
