Songs for Malta ESC 2025 released – listen HERE!

In the last hour, in a special broadcast on TVM+, the songs competing at the 2025 edition of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest were released, marking the first official song reveal of the year.

24 acts will compete for Malta’s ticket to Basel over a week-long contest taking place at the Malta Fairs and Convention Centre in Ta’Qali, next to Mdina. A combination of jury and public voting will decide which 8 acts qualify from each semi-final into the grand final on Saturday 8th February, as well as the eventual winner.

During the broadcast, the semi-final split was revealed, and a random draw took place to determine who would perform first and last in each.

You can listen to all the competing songs, from each respective semi-final, below:

Semi-Final 1 (4 February 2025):

Semi-final 2 (6 February 2025):

Despite Malta’s rich history at the Contest, the Mediterranean island nation has never won in 36 attempts. Their best result was 2nd place, which came in 2005 with Chiara’s Angel. Their last qualification for the final came in 2021 with Destiny and Je me casse, while their 2024 effort, Loop by Sarah Bonnici, placed last in the second semi-final in Malmö.
