The judging panel and snippets of 4 entries competing at Eurosong 2025 have been revealed

Flemish broadcaster, VRT has revealed the snippets of half of the songs competing at Eurosong 2025. The songs for which the snippets have been released will all be performed in the first show set to broadcast this Saturday 18th of January at 20:45. Both shows were already recorded in December. The studio versions of all eight competing entries will be released after the second show gets aired on 25th of January. The grand final of Eurosong 2025 is set for 1st of February and it will be hosted by Peter Van de Veire.

The four songs which are featured in Eurosong Showcase 1 are:

  • Grace – “Pull up”
  • Lenns – “Air balloon”
  • Le Manou – “Fille à papa”
  • LEEZ – “Perfectly imperfect”

The Eurosong Showcase 2 will feature:

  • Jelle Van Dael – “Monster”
  • Mentissa – “Désolée”
  • Red Sebastian – “Strobe lights”
  • Stefanie Callebaut – “Gloria”

VRT has also revealed the 15 members judges panel which take part in the final decision about the act which will win Eurosong 2025 and become the next Belgian representative at Eurovision Song Contest, audience will also have their say.

The jury consist out of:

  • Gustaph – Winner of Eurosong 2023 and Belgian representative at ESC 2023
  • Bart Cannaerts – Spokesperson at Eurovision 2023
  • Merol – Singer
  • Emmelie de Forest – Winner of Eurovision 2013
  • André Vermeulen – Former commentator for VRT between 1991 and 2013
  • Els Germonpré – Music coordinator at VRT
  • Leslie Cable – RTBF HoD
  • Stephan Monsieur  – OGAE Belgium
  • Jasper Van Biesen – Author of “65 Years of Belgium at the Eurovision Song Contest”
  • Indy van Cauwenbergh – Choreographer
  • Kim Debrie – Radio 2
  • Anja Daems – Radio 2
  • Laura Govaerts – MNM
  • Imane Boudadi – MNM
  • Nona Van Braeckel – Studio Brussel

The winner of the first edition of reformed national selection Eurosong was Gustaph whose song “Because of You” got 182 points and ended on 7th place at Eurovision 2023.

From the beginning of Eurovision Song Contest Belgian representative is chosen by an alternation between VRT and RTBF. So last year RTBF internally selected Mustii to represent Belgium at Eurovision 2024, “Before the Party’s Over” got 18 points and ended the contest on 13th place in the semi-final 2.
