Voting for Dansk Melodi Grand Prix opens February 24; registered users can win tickets

Danish broadcaster, DR has revealed that the voting for Dansk Melodi Grand Prix will be starting through the app one week before the final of the show takes place.

For the second year in a row Danish viewers will have a chance to vote for their favourite act of Dansk Melodi Grand Prix prior to the evening of the grand final. The voting will open on Monday, 24th of February in the DR Melodi Grand Prix app. The app is available for download HERE for Apple App Store and HERE for Google Play. Viewers can vote free of charge once for any song. It is not possible to vote by SMS before the TV show has been broadcast. In addition to this information the registered users of the app are also competing for a chance to win two tickets for DMGP 2025. Each week which leads to the contest, DR will draw lots from the registered users and one winner will be notified. Artists competing at this national selection are expected to be revealed on 6th of February. Same as last year hosts of the show will be Stéphanie Surrugue and Sara Bro, Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2025 will take place on 1st of March at the Jyske Bank Boxen in Horsens.

The winner of DMPG 2024 was Saba whose “Sand” did not manage to qualify to the final of Eurovision Song Contest 2024 as the song ended on 12th place in the semi-final scoring 12 points. The last time Denmark was in the final of Eurovision was back in 2019.
