Yuval Raphael will represent Israel in Eurovision 2025

Israel’s HaKokhav HaBa marathon came to an end last night, where four acts competed in the Grand Final of this talent show, that also serves as the country’s selection show for the Eurovision Song Contest. In a four-artist Final, Israel selected Yuval Raphael as the winner, and the country’s entrant in Eurovision 2025 in Basel.

During last night’s Final, Daniel Wais was the first eliminated contestant (thus finishing in 4th place). Red Band & Moran Aharoni came in third, whilst the top favorite Valerie Hamaty finished in second place. The song that gave Yuval the victory was ABBA’s “Dancing Queen”, which she dedicated to everyone who lost their lives at the Nova Festival. She was at the festival as well, but was luckily one of the survivors.

After her victory, Yuval stated:

I can’t explain how excited and ready I am!! Thank you for giving me this huge honour and trusting me to represent my country on the grand Eurovision stage in Switzerland.

Yuval’s song for Eurovision 2025 will be premiered in the coming weeks. In the meantime, let us know in the comments below if you are happy with the selection, and what type of song you are expecting from Israel?
