LIVE: Söngvakeppnin 2025 Semi Final 1

Velkomin! Iceland’s quest for its Eurovision 2025 act kicks off today, as Söngvakeppnin’s first Semi Final is set for 20:45 CET!

Of the five acts performing tonight, only three will move on to the Icelandic Grand Final in two weeks.

When Conchita won in 2014, Eurovision made the news here across the pond. I found it on YouTube a few days later and remember watching Mariya Yaremchuk and her now infamous hamster wheel and wondering what was I watching?! I've since converted a group of friends into Eurovision fans and we've watched every Contest (and many NFs) ever since.
Watching Eurovision 2022 unfold in Turin was an experience I'll never forget, and I look forward to many more!
